“Happening now at Abacha road, GRA, Port Harcourt. SARS, or men dressed in SARS uniform just robbed a fellow of 5 million naira. Man is distraught. He was followed from the bank.
The cameraman is me. You want me to show the face of the man that was robbed? He was weeping and wailing like a baby. It wouldn’t have been fair for me to do that na”

Recall that few weeks ago, AIG Adamu Ibrahim, in charge of Zone 2 Command, approved the dismissal of four policemen attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Ikeja, Lagos State, over alleged robbery and other crimes. CSP Dolapo Badmus, the Zone’s spokesperson, confirmed the dismissal in Lagos.
According to Badmus, the dismissed officers are Sgt. Adeoye Adekunle; Sgt. Adekitan Adebowale; Sgt. Agbi Lucky and Sgt. Odighe Hehosa. She said that the four policemen were dismissed and subsequently charged to court for armed robbery, kidnapping, unlawful detention, intimidation and threatening violence. Badmus said that the panel recommended them for dismissal based on the report of the investigation carried out on a petition against them.

Just in: Senate President Bukola Saraki officially dumps APC - 9jahitplay.com

Senate president, Bukola Saraki has announced his exit from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)

Saraki announced his exit from the party via his official social media pages on Tuesday, July 31.

He wrote: "I wish to inform Nigerians that, after extensive consultations, I have decided to take my leave of the All Progressives Congress (APC)."

There has been speculation that Saraki may soon leave the APC following the defection of 13 lawmakers elected on the platform of the party to the Peoples Democratic Party and the African Democratic Congress.

Shortly after the mass defection, the rest of the APC lawmakers met with President Muhammadu Buhari to discuss the situation of the party.

At the meeting, the president reportedly urged the APC senators to stand steadfast and work for the party.

Saraki was however absent at the meting thereby fueling more speculation that he was no longer a member of the APC.

Senator Abdullahi Adamu in reaction to Saraki's absence said that his colleagues who defected from the APC to the PDP have committed political blunders which will be the biggest mistakes of their lives.

In an interview with Daily Trust, the lawmaker representing Nasarawa West Senatorial District said some of them have never really been in the PDP.

Asked what he would have done if Saraki had appeared at the APC meeting with President Buhari, Adamu said: “I would have sent him out. I would have told them that ‘you don’t belong here; you betrayed the president. You want to continue with the game of betrayal? Get out of this place.’

“There were speculations that some of you were planning to change the leadership of the Senate on that Tuesday, how true is that?

“I don’t talk about things that don’t happen. If there was an action, manifest, you can ask questions about it. But when you speculate, I don’t go for speculations. We’re talking reality. People said they decamped from one party to another, that’s a reality. I was there when it happened, and I can talk about it like I’m doing now. But whether there was an intention to change the leadership, that is speculation.

Along the line, she started dating the deceased, who neigbours said usually spent days with her in the apartment before leaving.
Tragedy, struck on July 13, 2018 , after neigbours said they heard the usual banters from the lovers’ apartment, which was followed by shout of help from the suspect. Out of concern, some of the neighbours , banged on the door and in the process, forced it open, to rescue Ada, as she was popularly called.
There was however allegation that one of the male tenants (names withheld) who entered the apartment, assisted Ada to throw Henry out of the window. As at the time of this report, occupants of the story building had fled their homes for fear of being arrested, while the Police are said to be trailing the male tenant said to have assisted in throwing Henry out of the window.
‘I did not throw him out, he jumped out himself’ But in an interview with the suspect, she denied pushing Henry out of the window, insisting rather that he jumped out himself. According to her: “He came in drunk that night and wanted to collect my phone to search it but I refused. As I was struggling the phone with him, he started beating me and I shouted for help. “At a point, I could not shout any more.
When the door was forced opened by neigbours who came to my rescue, Henry ran into the bedroom and jumped out of the window. “I did not push him. If I did, there would have been cracks on the window. He had jumped out of the window before Roy (the fleeing tenant) did not push Henry.
“He actually jumped out because he was afraid of Roy. I did not know he was injured until I rushed to the back yard and found him on the ground, unable to move. “I carried him on my back to Crown Hospital from where his skull was stitched.
“But he could not move any part of his body as he complained of not having any feeling, even when the doctor pierced him with a needle. “Froým there he was referred to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, where he died three days later”.

Benue APC lawmakers cite corruption allegations as reasons for serving Ortom impeachment notice

The APC lawmakers seeking to impeach Governor Samuel Ortom have given reasons for serving him impeachment notice

- The lawmakers listed corruption allegations against the governor

- They served the governor an impeachment notice on Monday, July 30 despite a court order forbidding them from doing so

The All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmakers in Benue state House of Assembly that served impeachment notice on Governor Samuel Ortom of the state, have listed corruption allegations against the governor.

Premium Times reports that the lawmakers accused Ortom of misappropriating billions in public funds while state workers groan amidst unpaid salaries.

Naijahitplay gathers that the APC lawmakers were led by Terkimbi Ikyange, who was impeached as speaker last week by at least 22 members of the assembly.

Ikyange accused the governor of squandering N54 billion in state funds, N22 billion from security votes while N32 billion was from local government funds.

The allegations of corruption against the governor was denied by his chief secretary, Terver Akase, who called on President Muhammadu Buhari to call members of APC to order and save Nigeria from lawlessness.

He said: “The allegations are all lies and the attempt to impeach the governor remains illegal, null and void. We call on the president to prevail on SSS and police to stop attempt to truncate democracy and rather than being an accomplice.”

121 Nigerians Killed in South Africa in 18 months - Falana reveals, accuses FG of not being proactive to end killings | 9jahitplay.com

With 121 Nigerians killed in South Africa between 2017-2018, FG has done nothing tangible - Falana

- The federal government has been accused by Femi Falana, famous human rights lawyer, of being indifferent towards the xenophobic killing of Nigerians in South Africa

- Falana urged the governments of both nations to end the crime by making the declaration to facilitate access to the African court on human and people’s rights without further delay

- He recalled that at least 121 Nigerians have been murdered between 2017 and 2018

Femi Falana, a renowned Senior Advocate of Nigerian (SAN) and a human rights lawyer, has faulted the federal government for allegedly not being proactive in ending the xenophobic killing of Nigerians in South Africa, Vanguard reports

Falana, in a statement, read on Sunday, July 29, said that the government “has not gone beyond the regular condemnation” of the killings. He also accused the South African government of inaction.

Not less than 121 Nigerians are reported to have been killed in South Africa between 2017 and 2018, the most recent victim being Chibuzo Nwankwo, a Nigerian from the southeast region.

Falana alleged that despite the ugly developments, the governments of Nigeria and South Africa have deliberately refused to accept the jurisdictional competence of the African court on human and people’s rights by making a declaration in line with article 34 (6) of the protocol for the establishment of the court.

The statement read: “Thus, by refusing to make the declaration, both countries have made it impossible for their nationals, whose human rights have been violated by state actors, to seek legal redress in the court. On its own part, the government of Nigeria has not gone beyond the regular condemnation of the brutal killings.

"Up till now, the government has not deemed it fit to take bold diplomatic measures to guarantee the security of the life and property of every Nigerian citizen living in South Africa.”

“However, the lackadaisical attitude of the Nigerian government to the brutalisation of Nigerian immigrants in South Africa is not surprising in view of the impotence of the state to curb the incessant killing of innocent citizens at home by terrorists, herders, armed robbers, kidnappers and other bandits.”

Falana further said that to end the mindless killings, the federal government must “pressurise” the South African authority to immediately bring all criminals to justice and compensate victims.

He urged the presidency to stop “exposing Nigeria to ridicule” by making the declaration to facilitate access to the African court instantly.
Falana stated: “We are therefore compelled to call on the African Commission on Human and Peoples Rights to conduct an enquiry into the killings of African immigrants in South Africa and make appropriate recommendations to the African Union.”

"It has been observed that some fervent supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari have begun what may be interpreted as political campaigns in their advocacies and advertisements in the mass media.

"We appreciate their enthusiasm, borne out of desire to garner support for an administration that is actuated by nothing else, other than service for motherland, but we hereby appeal for patience, so that the game can be played according to the rules.

"The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has a timetable for political campaigns, and we urge committed supporters round the country (and beyond) to be mindful of such. There will be ample time ahead to trumpet the good works of the Buhari administration, and solicit re-election, all for the good of our country and her people.

"While a chronicle of the achievements of the administration is in order now, outright canvasing may amount to jumping the gun. We are an administration committed to due process and scrupulous respect for rules, law and order."

We appreciate our massive supporters nationwide, and urge them to exercise restraint till the race commences officially as stipulated by law."

Melaye was scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday before the Magistrate court in Abuja for alleged gunrunning, but the trial could not hold due to the claims by Senator Ben Bruce, quoting Melaye’s brother, that he had been abducted by unknown gunmen.

On Friday, he wrote on Twitter: “I thank God once again for escaping another dangerous attack. I also thank Nigerians for their prayers and show of Love. Spent 11 hours in the wilderness traumatized but God preserved me. God is the best and in whom ONLY I trust. They will continue to try. WE SHALL OVERCOME!!!”

Breaking : APC Another Coup in Ekiti State As Police Lay Siege On House of Assembly Complex - 9jahitplay.com

A few hours ago,  it came to our notice that armed policemen had
invaded the Ekiti State House of Assembly complex on the order of the
Commissioner of Police,  Mr.  Bello Ahmed.

The Police Commissioner claimed that  he received a letter from the
Clerk of the House, Mr.  Tola Esan,  purportedly seeking security
deployment to the premises of the House.

However, the Clerk has written to the Commissioner of Police,
dissociating himself from any letter and describing such letter as

Mr.  Tola Esan also spoke with pressmen on camera,  stating
categorically that he did not write any letter to the police, seeking
deployment of security men to the House of Assembly complex and that
the House is on recess till October 8, 2018.

The question we now wish to ask the Commissioner of Police is; who
wrote the purported letter and where did he get it from?

Also,  we wish to ask the Commissioner of Police the motives behind
his hurried deployment of armed policemen to the House of Assembly
complex without seeking clarification from the Speaker.

Again,  after speaking with the Clerk on phone and he told the CP
expressly that no such letter was authored by him, why are the
policemen still laying siege on the House of Assembly?

The House of Assembly is constitutionally backed to go on recess as
seen in the National Assembly and other advanced democracies in the
world and therefore no official function of the house can take place
while on Recess.

As at today,  the House of Assembly is on recess till October 8, 2018.

Information at our disposal is to the effect that the Policemen are
laying siege on the House of Assembly to provide cover for some
miscreants today to perpetrate evil and create chaos in the House of
Assembly thus threatening our democracy and putting the lives of our
innocent staff into danger.

We are also aware of the sinister plot to break into the Assembly
Complex before daybreak with the intention of making away with the

We therefore call the attention of well-meaning Nigerians to the fresh
coup being plotted by some anti-democratic  agents in the APC in
collaboration with the Police in Ekiti State.

As the Speaker of the House, herein the constitutional head of the
institution, there is no threat in the House to warrant  any
deployment of policemen and the Commissioner of Police should
therefore withdraw the illegal deployment of policemen to the premises
of the house as such is unsolicited, unwarranted dangerous and ultra

Staff of the House of Assembly have also been directed to stay at home
until further notice  in view of the need to prevent injuries and loss
of lives as the armed policemen can as usual be overzealous.

Ekiti Election: Group berates INEC over refusal to release documents to PDP candidate - 9jahitplay.com

The Elections Transparency Group (ETG) has berated the Independent
National Electoral Commission (INEC) over its alleged refusal to
release relevant documents requested by the Peoples Democratic Party
(PDP) candidate in the just concluded Ekiti State governorship
election, Prof. Kolapo Olusola, to aide his petition at the tribunal.

Olusola, who is challenging the victory of the candidate of the All
Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Kayode Fayemi, as declared by the
INEC, had alleged that his applications to INEC for the certified true
copies of election documents were rebuffed despite having fulfilled
necessary steps.

In its reaction, the ETG said in a statement issued in Abuja on
Wednesday, and signed by its National Coordinator, Alhaji Kazeem
Adekunle, that INEC must not act in a way that will suggest that it
truly connived with security agencies to rig the election in favour of
the APC as being alleged.

It warned against any attempt to manipulate the election documents in
INEC custody, disclosing that “Just as it happened in 2011 when four
officials of INEC in Ekiti State were arrested for voiding ballot
papers used for the Ekiti East Constituency II House of Assembly
election, we are watching the activities of INEC officials in Ekiti
State and whoever attempts to tamper with documents in INEC custody
will be exposed and arrested.”

The group noted that since election materials are public documents,
there was no reason for INEC to delay even for one hour before
releasing all documents relating to the election to whoever that
requested for them.

It called on INEC to release all documents requested by the PDP
candidate and other interested parties without further delay, arguing
that it will amount to denial of justice for the electoral commission
to act as a stumbling block against the PDP and its candidate.

While condemning the roles played by security agencies before, during
and after the Ekiti State election, the ETG said it was appalling that
security agents openly aided votes buying at polling units by agents
of the APC.

The group said security agencies, especially the police acted in a
manner confirming that they had clear instruction from Abuja to
deliver Ekiti State to the APCby whatever means.

See The 20 Year Old Female Cultist Who Kills For ₦10k Each And Wears Hijab To Kill Targets

A female member of a notorious cult got arrested by the Police in Lagos and has made a startling revelation on how she killed members of rival cult groups and any other person for a fee of N10,000.

While speaking when she was paraded by the Police in Lagos on Monday, a 20-year-old self-confessed sniper of the dreaded Eiye confraternity, Mariam Abiola, revealed how she killed four rival gang members in the Ilasamaja area of the state.
The young girl who admitted dropping out of school in SS3, was arrested on Monay morning together with three male accomplices by a police team from the Ilasamaja division, led by the Divisional Police Officer, Chief Superintendent Titilayo Oriyomi.
While making her confessions to police interrogators, she said it was easier for her to operate unnoticed wearing a hijab, adding that a member of her gang she described as an herbalist always prepared charms for her before she embarked on any major operation.
He said I needed to blend into the system by being a member of the Eiye confraternity. I agreed. Thereafter, Sadiq taught me how to use a gun. By the time I went through training three times, I knew how to fire accurately.
“Anytime I was going to kill, Sadiq would give me the person’s picture and send the address to my phone. I usually wore a white male flowing gown and white hijab whenever we were going to kill any rival member.

“We always went in a group of four, including Wasiu and Segun. The gun was usually tucked inside my white flowing gown.
“On getting to the target’s house, which was usually at night, other members would jump through the fence and open the gate for me.
“I would enter and fire the person in the chest and forehead before leaving there.
“I have killed four persons. None of our targets survived. I killed one guy at Fadeyi area of Lagos. Another one at Hassan area, one at Ajeh area.
“At the end of each killing, Sadiq would pay me N10,000 and five others N20,000.
“I had struck at Fabiyi, Hassan and Aje streets and another street, all in Ilasamaja.
“Before we leave for any killing, we would visit the herbalist who would give us charms to put residents to sleep until the operation is concluded. I never felt bad killing anybody.”
Meanwhile, Sadiq also admitted being a member of the Eiye confraternity but denied knowing Abiola.
Speaking on the arrest, Lagos State commissioner of police, CP Imohimi Edgal said, “It is shocking to see a young lady of Abiola’s age talk of killings. Parents should do more by monitoring their children.
“It is worrisome that her confession are startling, chronicling the number of killings. Apart from being an assassin, she was also an armourer for her gang.”

According to reports from Punch, in a YouTube video posted by the church’s official page, the cleric made this call on Sunday at its headquarters in Ota, Ogun State.
With this development, Oyedepo has joined other notable clerics, including the Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church, Abuja, John Cardinal Onaiyekan; and a former Archbishop of the Catholic Church in Lagos, Cardinal Anthony Olubunmi Okogie – who have asked Buhari to quit his position over failure to secure the lives of Nigerians.
The cleric told his congregation that although he was not partisan, he would not be alive and not talk about the massacre of Nigerians, especially in the Middle Belt, by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
Speaking on the theme, “Enough is enough,” he said,
“When I was talking in 2015, people were saying my own was too much, now everybody can see what’s happening. What has moved forward in anybody’s life? You don’t know it’s war. Why are they attacking the Christian communities? Why has nobody been arrested? I can tell you this, the authorities and the powers that be are behind them.
“I will never be partisan; Jesus got me out of it in 1984. But I will not be alive to see innocent people massacred.
“We must wake up and push this evil back. Not one of those so-called herdsmen – they are jihadists – has been brought to book till date.
“Herdsmen don’t shoot; they have been here all along. They are just taking cover under the herdsmen to assault innocent citizens.
“They wake up in the night and slice innocent children to pieces. Yet, you have a government in place. What!
“The most honourable thing for any non-performing leader to do is to resign.
“The most honourable thing is to resign. That’s my own for Mr President. Resign! Get out of office!
“Even our Islamic friends in the North are calling on him (Buhari) to resign. Because that’s the noblest thing to do. Or are we going to look at one system destroy a whole nation?”
Oyedepo also warned Nigerians against the ceding of land to the Fulani herdsmen for ranching, as proposed by the Federal Government.
He said:
“I’m going to say this and I’m not going to be tired. This (Nigeria) will never be a Fulani republic.
“That is not our terms of agreement. It will remain a secular nation till Jesus returns. It’s not just (about) land, it’s (about) heritage.
“Forever, I stand on the fact that no government has the authority to collect land from those who own it and transfer it to another person because on the other side (presumably the north), it never happens.”

Busted! Super Eagles Chief Coach Salisu Yusuf caught taking bribe of N360,000 to select players for tournament (Video)

Salisu Yusuf, Chief Coach of the Super Eagles has been caught on camera taking a bribe of N360,000 from fake football agents who wanted him to select two players for the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN).
As the chief coach of the Super Eagles, Yusuf is in charge of the Super Eagles home-based side and an assistant to Gernot Rohr for the Super Eagles.
He was in charge of the Super Eagles Team B to the 2017 WAFU and 2018 CHAN where they lost in both finals.
In an investigation led by Ghanaian journalists Anas Aremeyaw, reporters posing as football agents for some players approached Yusuf in September 2017 for a conversation about players’ selection.

The clip has been made public by BBC African Eye .
The clip has been made public by BBC African Eye.
“So if anything goes through and these players are able to get their contracts, you will get 15% of that contract,” one of the reporters posing as an agent told Yusuf to which he replied; “they will be in CHAN.”
The two players were eventually selected for CHAN 2018 although the investigation stated that there is no suggestion that the money given to Yusuf influenced the selection.
Although he told the reporters that team selection is based solely on performances, Yusuf, a top Nigerian coach will be facing the wrath of FIFA, CAF and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

The DSS, who said they were working on instructions from above made sure no soul was left inside the secretariat after the clearance.
Few hours after this exercise, the Secretary General of the NFF, Muhammed Sanusi, was led to his office by officers of the DSS, where he had resumed his legal duties as the head of the football federation secretariat in Nigeria.
The president’s office was also cleared in readiness for the resumption of the Amaju Pinnick who will return to Nigeria tomorrow after supervising the CAF Round Table symposium with the five African representatives to the 2018 Russia World Cup xraying the continent’s poor showing at the biggest soccer competition in the world.

Ekiti: Fayemi can start his probe now, his vendetta mission will consume him – Ekiti Govtt

  • Naijahitplay

Ekiti State Government has challenged the governor-elect, Dr. Kayode
Fayemi to begin his probe of the Ayodele Fayose led government now
instead of waiting till October 16 that he will be sworn in, saying;
“it is obvious that he will be consumed in his vendetta mission and
rather than grandstanding, Fayemi should first seek legitimacy for his
stolen mandate. ”

Governor Fayose’s Special Assistant on Public Communications and New
Media, Lere Olayinka, said in his reaction to Fayemi’s threat that “he
(Fayemi) should stop living in the world where threat of probe scares
people because we in the government of Fayose are not afraid of
victimization and vendetta that Fayemi is obviously coming with.”

He described Fayemi as a beneficiary of a stolen mandate who is afraid
to even come to the open to celebrate his false victory, adding that;
“Even yesterday when he went to collect the certificate of the mandate
that was snatched and handed to him by the powers that be in Abuja, he
had to be protected by police helicopter and hundreds of armed
policemen. One wonders how he is going to rule the people they forced
him on.”

Olayinka said; “If Fayemi is on vendetta mission, which is obvious
that he is, he will first destroy himself because like Ekiti and its
people survived him during his first tenure, the people will outlive
him this time too.

“During his first tenure, he probed the government of Engr Segun Oni
and said he (Oni) should refund N5.4 billion to the state government
account. He went further to say that the state government should
explore all legal means by inviting anti-graft bodies like Economic
and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) and Independent Corrupt
Practices and Other Related Offences (ICPC) including courts to compel
Oni and others so indicted to refund the money to the government

“However, he is now wining and dining with the same Segun Oni.”

Declaring that all books of the government are open for the public to
see, Governor Fayose’s spokesperson said “it is funny that the same
Fayemi, who refused to appear before a duly constituted commission of
inquiry is the one talking talking about probe.

He said; “What is he waiting for? Can’t he start the probe today?

“As for us, we have counted the cost for shenanigans of Fayemi and his
Abuja impostors and we are not afraid to confront them when the time

“To us, there are just two things that can come from dictators - death
and incarceration, we are not afraid of any.”

We had to run for our dear lives - Senator Dino Melaye accuses Nigerian police of plan to Kill him

Melaye accuses Police of assassination attempt

- Senator Dino Melaye has accused the Nigeria Police of plan to kill him

- The Senator said the Kogi state police commissioner is being economical with the truth on the gun fight between his security aides and some police officers

- he said he had to run for his life during the feud with the police team

The Senator representing, Kogi West senatorial district, Dino Melaye has accused the state's police command of attempts to kill him.

Melaye also alleged that the Kogi state commissioner of police, Ali Janga, was economical with the truth over an open fire between his security aides and some police officers.

Punch reports that Melaye in his reaction to police allegation that the Senator's security details shot at police officers conducting ‘stop and search’ operations in Mopa.

A statement by Gideon Ayodele, an media aide to Melaye said the Senator was returning from Isanlu when armed Special Anti-Robbery Squad operatives stopped his car next to the vehicle of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps leading his convoy.

Melaye said: “The police stopped the vehicle of the civil defence corps, arrested them and suddenly opened fire on my vehicle, including my back- up vehicle. We all had to run for dear life as they continue to shoot at my SUV and, apart from the officers of the NSCDC, there was no other security man in my convoy."

“This is happening in spite of my earlier letter to the Kogi state police command informing them of my plans to tour my constituency and commission my projects across the seven councils. My lawyer also wrote them (police) and they acknowledged the letters," Melaye said.

“Nobody from my convoy engaged in gun battle with the police. The police alleged that it was the last vehicle in my convoy that contained security men and that they shot at the police. This is a big lie. If it was so, why was it that nobody was arrested?

“The vehicle they alleged was never shot and why was it that my car was next to civil defence vehicle that was attacked?” Melaye asked.
